INTRODUCTION
Children are vulnerable and easily impacted by their environment. In order to succesfully develop physically, socially, and mentally, children need the attention of nurturing adult caretakers. There are many children in the Karatu district who are without this important guardian, leaving them without essential emotional, social, and physical resources, and therefore, forcing them to depend only on themselves.
SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
The growth of vulnerable children and poor families is restricted by poverty within the families. These families are characterized by a lack of financial, medical, and educational support. The parents of these families fail to provide the basic needs for their household. This leads them to turn to their children as a source of income and send them to work at a young age. Some chilren drop out of school completey and others work after school is out.
There have been efforts to eliminate the vulnerability of children and poor families from poverty in Tanzania for many years through international laws, programs, and international agencies. Although there has been some positive progress made, there are still many Tanzanian families in great need of support.
Community Childcare Foundation (CCF) is a non-governmental organization that works as a part of the world's fight to secure children's rights. CCF intends to make sure that children in the Karatu district of Tanzania receive quality education along with the basic needs to support a healthy lifestyle. CCF hopes to collaborate with surrounding societies, government, and other stakeholders to build a good future for these vulnerable children.
CCF headquarters is located in Karatu District. CCF's efforts are focused on vulnerable children and marginalized families in Karatu District, Arusha Region. We intend to provide necessary basic needs such as shelter, food, clothes, and educational funding through our organization.
One of CCF's main objectives is to provide a safe and nurturing school for children who are unable to afford tuition. For over 14 years, CCF has been providing pre-primary education to children at St Paul Academy. At St Paul's, students are guaranteed at least one meal each day along with the loving support of its educators.
CCF aims to improve living conditions, support education for children and young adults, and provide health care to individuals and needy families. We intend to implement this alongside an income-generating project which will support them to become more independent and better able to support their families.
CURRENT GOALS
At this time, we are asking for material, moral, and financial support to continue the success and growth of this project. With additional resources, we believe that we can reach many more children and families, and therefore, create a heathier, stronger, and more successful community in Karatu. There are three main objectives necessary to achieve this: monetary donations, additions to the CCF team, and volunteer outreach.
Currently, CCF relies soley on donations from friends and family. In order to increase our impact, it is imperative that we begin to receive larger donations from more sources. We hope to draw donations from individuals, organizations, and government systems both locally and abroad.
CCF has been able to accomplish a great amount with a very limited team. By gaining additional individuals on the CCF team, we will be better able to help more people while being organized and efficient, creating the greatest positive impact possible in the community.
Over the years, volunteers have proved to be excellent assets in helping us meet our mission. Moving forward, we hope to work with more individuals who may Iike to volunteer their time to give back to children and families. We encourage individuals locally and abroad to get involved with CCF through small projects such as sports games and large projects such as building classrooms.
CCF has made a large positive difference in the lives of many individuals and families in the Karatu District. Below is a list of some of the activities and projects that has been done from 2011 to 2023 and some of the ongoing needs.
i. Providing medical equipment and clothing to children in need

iv. Supporting a large family of 12 children in a Gongali village
